The history of TransEdge Truck Centers dates back to the early 1920’s, when the Mack Truck Company first established itself in Allentown, Pennsylvania as a factory operated branch. In 1969 the branch was relocated to a new facility on 1407 Bulldog Drive, our present flagship location. This facility was built as a showcase branch situated in Bulldog Country, where Mack Trucks had moved their World Headquarters to Allentown. The Allentown Branch was a Fleet Center with the majority of its business in servicing major accounts for the Mack Truck Company.
The Allentown Branch of Mack Trucks became a privately owned distributorship in December of 1990. As part of a corporate restructuring plan, Mack Trucks sold the branch to the present owners, and the name was changed to Allentown Mack Sales and Service, Inc. In 2006, the company officially changed its name to TransEdge Truck Centers and has evolved into a driving force in the Pennsylvania transportation industry. With six modern facilities – Allentown, Blue Mountain, Pittsburgh, Stroudsburg, Hino & Leasing Center, and Modification Center – TransEdge Truck Centers services Pennsylvania and its surrounding areas.
